How are the fares for BE, Main and Main select calculated and is the only difference between Main and Main Select how your are refunded and same day flight changes? Was booking leisure flight today and had what I thought was weird pricing. The first leg was BE was $169 and Main $209 and the second leg was $209 for BE and Main was $237. This was for the same two cities. Currently there's a BE for $169 and Main for $280 on the same date. I would have thought it would be a flat percentage rate of the price or a standard price jump but is definitely not the case. Lastly with the difference between Main and Main select being Select is fully refund and same day flight changes why would anyone with status select Main select when its cheaper to have Main and choose the option to have refund to original source?
