I was just reading perks of being a villain and I'm honestly enjoying it a lot. I love Friedia and how both her pasts as an orphan does continue to affect how she acts + just her being a dumbass sometimes lol. Got up to chapter 57 and I love the development of her relationship with >! Rian/Alpheus !< however- I feel like there was a massive chunk missing after that??? But it seems it's completed at 63 chapters based on how it ended?

They're attacked in the forest and Rian saves Frieda and the Queen finds out her son is using alchemy. then Rian takes her a lunch while she trains and abruptly proposes a 1 year marriage contract?? That seems really sudden but like there *was* build up so okay? He clearly likes her and considers her "his" but it did feel a little random and Frieda didnt seems shocked by the proposal at all which was a bit odd?? Even if she likes him too it didnt seem like she fully realised that by the firest incidsnt yet. Then next chapter is the party where suddenly there's a massive explosion, people die, the ring he gave her protects her and her family and then suddenly the Queen has murdered the emporer and she attempted to kill both princes at that party and suddenly she's in league with the alchemist who somehow found out the blood was Friedas and how the fuck did he get so much of it??? !<

>! Then she's just casually exposing her forbidden shadow golem things in front of everyone and then Rian has subdued her? Then she's in prison being questioned and proud of it all and Hoarace has apparently no reaction to finding out his mother is evil and Rian was just? Holding him? And neither of them had issues with this?? And Rian brings up the contract again in 62 and NOW Fredia is like "what??! Was that a proposal?!" WHAT DO YOU MEAN?? HE ASKED YOU TO MARRY HIM BEFORE THE PARTY ALREADY???? Why are you shocked about a prosak the 2nd time it happens??? Like yeah that was about the 1 year contract thing but now he's like "lol no actually how about for real". !<

>! AND THEN. *AND THEN* in the same chapter 63!! He's like "you're not gonna reject me are you?" She just goes "huh?" AND THE NEXT PANEL HES TELLING THE FAMILY HE WANTS TO MARRY HER??? and then they get married?? And they're like. Fully together?? !<

I was so damn invested in their relationship and I feel like I was robbed of so much and I have no idea if I've just somehow missed some chapters or something

Recently got back into the villainess genre and after watching most all animes I could find, I've started reading some of the mangas as well. Please reccomend any you think are good! Anime and mangas! (Manhwas etc too) Just finished reading Kill the Villainess and that one was fun. Reincarnation, isekai, time travel etc whatever it is I don't mind. I'm a sucker for the genre whether the Villainess is actually bad or just misunderstood or the heroine is actually the villain or the mc has to fight against the villainesses original rep- all of it lol. Something about how most of them have the cheesy obviously shitty fiance or a heroine who isn't as nice as she appears just gets me lol. Love the academy/school based ones a lot too
