Need some advice on RAM upgrade for my Dell G15 5510.

Current specs:

- Dell G15 5510

- i5 10200H

- GTX 1650

- 8GB RAM

- 512GB SSD

I opened the laptop and found this RAM stick that came preinstalled:

Micron 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CL22

1Rx16 SODIMM

Model: MTA4ATF1G64HZ-3G2E2

I’m planning to upgrade to 16GB by adding another 8GB stick.

Questions:

1. Should I buy the exact same Micron RAM or will any DDR4 3200MHz laptop RAM work?

2. Is 1Rx16 bad compared to 1Rx8?

3. Will dual channel work properly if I add another 8GB stick with same speed but different brand?

4. Any recommended RAM for best compatibility/performance with this laptop?

Main usage:

- Gaming

- Angular/React development

- VS Code + Docker + browser tabs

- Some light editing
