Do we need to replace this area of window frame?
We purchased our home this summer, and are just now getting our first big rains. I noticed water coming through our window trim, so I pulled off the trim off and found this insane mangled piece of wood used for the header of the frame. We fixed the outside water issue and are replacing the trim and the part of the drywall that got wet. Do we need to replace this piece of wood too?
