This gym setup has been on FB Marketplace for months now and the guy keeps reposting.
I see people refusing to sell individual items all the time and their posts stay up for months. Most of the time they end up severely discounted.
Why do people do this?
I am an E-5 in the Air Force with 6.5 years TIS with two dependents. My family’s income has gotten tighter since my wife separated from the military but I don’t want it to deter me from retirement contributions.
Just switched my TSP to 100% C Fund earlier this year and bumped my contributions to 10%.
I’m looking for any advice for efficiently managing my TSP, as well as a realistic expectation for my retirement balance at the end of a 20 year military career.
Any insight would be appreciated.
We brought our baby tortoise in to an “exotic vet” for a cloacal prolapse. They were the only one within 6 hours of us and I had tried seeing them 3 times but was turned away because their exotic specialist was out.
Upon arrival, they had us pay an insane exotic specialist fee. After they finally took our tortoise, they had me sign a consent form saying I understood the exotic vet doesn’t hold any special exotic certifications — oh, and told me I should have come in sooner. They didn’t explain the procedure to me until after it was done, and didn’t let me see him until I paid.
Once I got him back I said “oh wow you got it fixed that cleanly!”. Come to find out they cut his intestines completely off, knowing he wouldn’t make it but wanted to run me for my money first.
I paid about triple what euthanasia would have cost and he died about 6 hours later.
Will never trust another “exotic” vet again.
Third year at this school, taken 3 finance classes now with 3 different instructors. I follow the rubric to a tee and never get full credit and the feedback I receive is copy/paste or “you did good, but you didn’t exceed expectations”.
How does “good but not exceeding expectations”result in a C or B for assignments?
These are the only classes that I do not have A’s in, yet, I feel I put the most effort into.
Not sure if anyone else has the same experience but these people do a good job securing their jobs because this solidified that I never want to do anything finance related.

Our baby leopard tortoise has a severe prolapse and by the way they’re moving it looks like they’re in immense pain. I called every vet around me and they said their reptile specialist is gone for the night. I’m very worried our tortoise is not going to make it through the night.
Does anyone have any insight, guidance, words of encouragement… anything?
I have been on a weight loss journey for about a month now, with a goal of beating the standard by my PT test in October. Our unit is conducting their measurements this week and I know I won’t make it. Im currently down 8 lbs since starting and still sitting at a 0.57 WHtR.
Im hoping this is just a baseline but im fearing the worst.
Will this put me in FIP or would I be removed from the AF?
