Moving to AIT station
Hi there, I’ve looked and looked but can’t find anyone asking this question specifically. has anyone moved to the place where their husband went to AIT?
Background:
His course length will be 4 months
1500 hundred miles away from home so visitation with a baby will be very hard maybe unlikely at all.
Son will be born while he’s away in bct
I’m aware that the army will not pay for this nor allow him to live with us. It would be solely on our own dime and we would be on our own completely. I’m just curious if any other spouses have done this. Or if you guys think it would be worth the moving expense to possibly only see him a weekend here and there. I’m wondering if also would it be likely that I could come onto base and spend his lunch with him/ evenings till curfew and what not. Any input/ opinions are welcome and appreciated!
