Meta’s New “Forum” App Looks Like Facebook Meets Reddit

Meta’s New “Forum” App Looks Like Facebook Meets Reddit

Meta is testing a brand-new app focused entirely on Facebook Groups.

The new app called “Forum” is designed to function similarly to Reddit, giving communities a more dedicated space for discussions outside the main Facebook experience. The app reportedly focuses heavily on topic-based conversations, community discovery, and threaded discussions.

The move makes sense considering Facebook Groups remain one of Meta’s strongest community features, especially as traditional social feeds become increasingly crowded with AI content, ads, and algorithm-driven posts. A standalone Groups app could help Meta compete more directly against Reddit, Discord, and other community-focused platforms.

Canon Philippines Printer Factory is set to shut down next month

Canon is reportedly shutting down its laser printer manufacturing plant in the Philippines.

The Batangas facility is expected to close by June as global demand for office laser printers continues to decline. The site is reportedly Canon’s last manufacturing operation in the country and currently employs around 1,400 workers.

The decline is being linked to changing work habits, reduced office printing demand, and the continued shift toward digital workflows. Canon has also been scaling back parts of its laser printer production globally over the past few years.

While the brand remains strong in cameras and imaging products, this move highlights how much the traditional office printer market has changed.

For the local tech manufacturing sector, this is another reminder that global hardware demand shifts can directly affect Philippine operations and jobs.

With over 100 maps featuring competitive races, co-op challenges, and chaotic party gameplay, the game delivers quick bursts of excitement without overwhelming players. And when the action slows down, Pulse Avenue offers a more relaxing side with farming, fishing, and customization.

Accessible, colorful, and easy to pick up, Totopia feels like a refreshing return to classic multiplayer platforming.

Is this the comeback the genre needed?
