From Console to Gaming Pc

To those who started off with a console, what made yall decide to go to PC gaming? Consoles now perform perfectly fine, they have great AAA games. Going with a pc means youll likely have to buy your games again and then adjust your settings to play comfortably whereas on console, its just boot up and play. So, im not throwing shade or trying to talk smack, im genuinely curious. What was it that made you go to building and gaming on a pc? Im at that point. I play on a PS5 but i also want to build a pc but idk if its worth it since the PS5 performs perfectly fine.

Edit: i am reading everything, i didnt think this post would get this much attention, i expected no more than a couple of comments. I appreciate all of you sharing and answering. I realize some of the things i said like "buying games again" is not entirely true. Ive been on console my whole life so i just assumed. Thank you all! <3
