Alright my people, here is my issue and I hope someone here can help. I've got an '05 Prius and recently when I left for work I noticed that whenever the car would transition from the electric motor to the gas motor the transition seemed a little rougher than normal. About a half mile from home it then started to throw a flashing traction control light when this would happen.

I know that I probably need to replace my 12v battery, but could that be the cause of this? Out of all of the symptoms I have seen for a bad 12v battery, this isn't a symptom I have seen described by anyone.

Edit: Just realized I should also add, no check engine light and not seeing any codes.
