If you think you're limited, watch this

I came across this video and thought it might help someone here. This person has very severe scoliosis and a spinal fusion, yet he is still incredibly athletic. Of course, every case is different, and not everyone will have the same abilities, but I think it's a good reminder that our condition doesn't always define our potential. I hope this gives someone a bit of hope today.

How is Allah's justice understood when people are born into such unequal circumstances?

Peace be upon you all.

I'm an atheist, but recently I've become interested in learning about different religions, and Islam has caught my attention for many reasons. However, there is one question that I haven't been able to find a satisfying answer to, and I would genuinely appreciate hearing the perspective of those who are knowledgeable.

Islam teaches that God is perfectly just. However, I struggle to understand this when I look at the vast differences between people's lives in this world.

I know one common answer is that those who suffer in this life will be compensated in the Hereafter. But my question is: why isn't there a greater degree of justice in this life as well? Some people live relatively easy lives and then enter Paradise, while others suffer throughout their lives and also enter Paradise.

To explain what I mean, let's imagine three people:

●Person A: Born healthy and into relatively good circumstances.

●Person B: Born with a congenital condition and a visible physical deformity (for example, severe scoliosis), making daily life much more difficult than for Person A.

●Person C: Born with health conditions similar to Person B.

Now let's suppose their lives unfold as follows:

●Person A:

Lives a relatively comfortable life without major health problems.

Their appearance gives them confidence, they get married, have children, and live a fulfilling life.

They are religious and eventually enter Paradise.

●Person B:

Lives with chronic pain for most of their life.

Their condition affects both their appearance and self-confidence, and despite trying, they are never able to find a spouse.

Nevertheless, they remain patient, faithful, and religious, and they also enter Paradise.

●Person C:

Lives under circumstances similar to Person B.

However, they are unable to remain patient, lose their faith, drift away from God, and ultimately enter Hell.

This is where I struggle to understand justice.

If we compare Person A and Person B, both eventually enter Paradise, but Person A also enjoyed a much better worldly life. Person B had to endure years of suffering before receiving the same eternal reward. Where is the justice between them?

If we compare Person A and Person C, one could argue that Person C made their own choices. But isn't it possible that the severe hardships they experienced were a major reason they lost their faith? And how can we know that Person A would have remained equally faithful had they been born under the exact same circumstances?

I'm not asking this to argue or to criticize Islam. I'm asking because I'm sincerely trying to understand this aspect of the religion, and so far I haven't found an explanation that fully answers these concerns.

I'd really appreciate any thoughtful answers or recommended resources. Thank you

Can scoliosis-related walking posture be improved?

Hey, I have moderate cervical scoliosis and kyphosis (which I feel has gotten worse this year). My gait has always felt uncomfortable, but lately it has become more difficult and noticeable. I think it might be related to the rotation in my upper body, which kind of throws off my center of gravity.and If I don’t constantly try to compensate while walking, I end up walking in zigzags , which feels uncomfortable and noticeable.

I’m sure a lot of you have had gait issues because of scoliosis, so I was wondering if there’s anything that helped you improve it. I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.

I recently learned about Schroth therapy, but unfortunately it’s not accessible to me at the moment.

How do you deal with the anxiety of feeling asymmetrical ?

Hello everyone

I have scoliosis and physically it’s not very painful, but what affects me the most is the constant feeling of asymmetry/inbalance when I sit or walk. It’s like a subtle but permanent reminder that my body is “off,” And that gives me a constant feeling of discomfort, which turns into anxiety

Is anyone else experiencing this kind of postural anxiety? How do you deal with it?
