You know what would really break Boruto’s composure? Kawaki taking Sasuke’s soul thorn hostage.

Kawaki is more powerful than he was when Boruto said that. Plus, Kawaki will probably get more powerful between now and by the time they actually get their hands on Sasuke’s soul thorn again. Kawaki will not be low diff fodder for Boruto by the time this happens.

Calling it now - Kawaki will take Sasuke’s soul thorn hostage and tell Boruto he will let it rot unless Boruto off’s himself.

Maybe it doesn’t go that way. But I don’t think Sasuke’s revival will go as easy as just them beating Hidari again. Kawaki will gatekeep it.

I find it interesting Oda focused on Luffy and Akainu here. It’s very clear by this point in the story Akainu holds a higher importance than the other admirals.

What do you think the purpose of focusing on Sengoku, Akainu, and a literal mentally dead Luffy for this page?

My guess is clearly something went wrong in his life through piracy that was enabled by the World Government. Whether it was a situation like Arlong Park and the Navy or Alabasta/Dressrosa and the Warlords/WG.

He enlisted with the goal in mind to destroy the warlord system. I mean for real - what could he have possibly saw? In Yu Yu Hakusho, Shinobu Sensui falls into despair after witnessing the atrocities of humanity and went on his path. What kind of atrocities could a man see that forced him to fucking blind himself????
