Actual ways to calm down

TW: SH

Genuinely how do yall relieve anger in a way that doesn’t just temporarily subside it and leave it pent up? I’m 18F, I have a history of self harm and obviously don’t want to resort to that anymore. I haven’t in months, but I think about it a lot when I get extremely angry or frustrated, and it the only thing that’s ever helped this level of angry I get, I try and take walks or time to myself or talk myself through it, but it only just numbs me or derealizes myself until I get ticked off again and then break down even worse than before (also an angry crier). If it helps the advice, I also have quiet bpd. What do I do to calm down?
