Stroller Recommendations for Winter [on]
Hi, I’m looking for help trying to find a budget second stroller that can be used in winter. I plan on using this for daycare drop off/pick up starting September and it will be left at the daycare all day until pick up. I currently have the Maxi Cosi Zelia Luxe stroller that I love but don’t feel comfortable leaving it at daycare all day.
Ideally looking for something compact isn’t too expensive for second stroller that can be used during winter in the GTA and on public transit that won’t take up too much space at home when not in use. Really would like to lean in on a budget friendly option. I would like to occasionally take it to Ottawa to see my in-laws (most likely wouldn’t be used following a heavy snowstorm but would be nice to visit during Winterlude). General thought process is that if it can survive winter, it can survive anything.
For added context, the first bus stop is less than a 1-3 minute walk from my building going to daycare and the second bus stop is about 5 minute walk once off the bus depending on the weather. When I went to the daycare to drop off some forms, there was already a larger jogging stroller in the hallway and I would like to fold this so that it’s not in the staffs way.
I was considering the following:
• hauck Shop N Care Lightweight Travel Stroller (currently on sale for $199.99 - original price $249.99)
• MotionGrey Jogger Baby Stroller (also known as the Blessy Baby Jogging Stroller and currently on sale for $169.99 - $399.99)
• Thule Spring Stroller (I saw one on FB Marketplace for around $150)
• Gromast Gravity Folding Baby Stroller V2.0 (cheapest one is $229.99)
•Peg X Country Stroller (currently on sale for $449.99 - original price is $549.99)
Is anyone familiar with the above strollers? If so, have you used it in the winter? Do you have any other compact budget stroller recommendations? I’m going to Walmart tomorrow to see them in person to get a feel for the stroller wheels and size (also to see what else they have in stock).
