Ich dachte immer das ist halt so ein sonderbarer Eigenname, vielleicht sogar von Herrn oder Frau Kaifu. Ich wusste auch, dass es das Kaiser-Friedrich-Ufer gibt und war regelmäßig im Kaifu-Bad aber es hat nie klick gemacht. Habt ihr auch solche Sachen?
Maybe some of you have seen Wayward which is about a troubled teen facility where supposedly problematic teens have to live in a group home/psych ward like place lead by a cult leader. There are so many things that remind me so much of TT and THT. They have a system in which teens can ascend and there are roles that are very similar to aunts where students keep others in check and snitch on them when they're misbehaving. There are some scenes that almost seem like an exact copy. Like sitting in the middle of a circle when you made a mistake and having to endure being shamed by everyone around you. There's also an initiation ritual where teens are almost drowned in water to be "reborn" which very much reminds me of the transition from a plum to a green. In Wayward they are also weird about pregnancy and birth and there's a birthing ceremony similar to the handmaid and wife birthing ceremony.
Also Isolde Ardies who plays Hulda is starring in Wayward and the characters are very similar, eager to please authorities and ascend to a higher status. Though Hulda is a little bit nicer.
I like to imagine as a fan theory when the downfall of Gilead eventually happens that Wayward and the town around it is the last refuge of diehard-Gileadeans who rebranded it a little bit and want to continue their way of living. Doesn't make much sense with the timelines but it's fun to imagine.
Ich habe gestern bei meinem Neffen ein Buch gefunden in dem alle Streiche von Max und Moritz erzählt werden, ich kann mich noch dunkel daran erinnern, dass ich das als Kind gelesen hatte und fands damals schon schrecklich.
Der erste Streich ist schon richtig verstörend, sie binden Brot an 4 Stricke, die sie zusammenknoten, damit die 4 Hühner ihrer Nachbarin sich damit verheddern. Die ziehen dann von allen Seiten, fliegen hoch und erhängen sich aus Versehen im Baum, dazu steht dann sowas wie "Schnell noch ein Ei gelegt, dann kommt auch schon der Tod" oder so. Mir ist richtig schlecht geworden als ich das gelesen habe und ich gucke auch gerne mal Horrorfilme mit gore usw, aber wie man in so einem Buch so eine Psychoscheiße so fröhlich lustig erzählt, macht mir ein richtig unwohles Gefühl. Am Ende wird es ja auch nochmal schlimm, als Max und Moritz zu Entenfutter zermahlen werden. Ich hasse es auch wie die aussehen, der blonde, glaube Moritz, guckt wie ein Psychopath.
Ist klar, dass das schwarze Pädagogik ist und eben ein Produkt der damaligen Gesellschaft, aber warum muss man das dann heute noch Kindern vorlesen oder anbieten? Da ist nix wertvolles, gutes, lustiges oder lehrreiches dran, einfach nur krankes Zeug. Meine Meinung und bewusst polemisch, andere mögen das anders sehen.
