I mean for more than half a year we are talking about this being the last arc of the manga and let’s be honest, the story and character plots are the biggest downside of Kengan.

Koga as original MC is co pletely uninteresting and we dont dven know what this character wants/needs/aims to accomplish. Same for Ryuki. Their plots lead nowhere (or basically we dont even care at this point). Meaning in the last arc we should at least know what are they trying to do but we dont, because the main “villain” is Shen and we know there are XY characters more suited to defeat Shen.

Ohma’s whole existence is basically to fight Shen and that’s it. We know Ohma is OP because Sandro said so.

Gilbert is the only character who’s plot MAY lead somewhere. Is he gonna become Edward ? Is he gonna stay Gilbert and somehow better than Edward proving everyone wrong ?

Kinda just proves how storywritting is sh.it when the only character who can surprise you with their plot is the most glazed jobber.

I m trying to be positive but if this is the last arc, I am afraid we will be dissapointed with the ending.

Ok let’s be a devil’s advocate:

1. Not many characters can stop, clinch and than knockdown Julius in 3 moves, in base form.

2. Gilbert took damage from a surprise finisher that Agito was avoiding but he is still ok to continue fighting (still in base form).

3. Even after Julius ate those shots, Gilbert wasn’t scared/surprised rather called Julius a “plebian” (or wathever).

Meaning Gilbert wasn’t going all in as you would react differently if someone ate your most powerful beatdown and called you a weak kid 😂

Anyway yeah it’s hard to make Gilbert a serious treath when we got Shen.

Still I hope based on what we have seen, Sandro plan’s on Eddy’s “soul” to take over at one point…
