Spicy Stir-fried Octopus (Nakji-bokkeum) loaded with smoky flavor [OC]

Tender, chewy octopus stir-fried with crunchy cabbage, scallions, and a smoky, fiery gochujang chili sauce, topped with toasted sesame seeds. The ultimate rice thief—best mixed with warm steamed rice, a drizzle of sesame oil, and crunchy bean sprouts!

Fresh Jeju Spear Squid Sashimi (Hanchi-hoe) [OC]

Freshly caught spear squid sashimi (Hanchi-hoe) served on lettuce. It’s translucent, naturally sweet, and has a softer, melt-in-your-mouth texture compared to regular squid. Best enjoyed dipped in vinegared red chili paste (chojang) or sesame oil with salt!

The ultimate Korean hangover cure: Jeonju-style Kongnamul-gukbap (Bean sprout soup) [OC]

Piping hot bean sprout soup (Kongnamul-gukbap) served in an earthen pot with a side of soft-poached egg (suran), roasted seaweed, kimchi, and a bottle of Makgeolli. The proper way to eat it: spoon a few tablespoons of hot broth and seaweed flakes into the egg bowl, mix, and slurp it down first!

A unique local culinary experience in Jeju: Horse meat course dinner [OC]

Jeju has a long history of raising horses, making horse meat dining quite popular here. Ordered a course that served raw sashimi, BBQ, and hot pot. Very mild flavor with zero gaminess. Definitely worth trying if you are an adventurous foodie!

Coastal cruise views of Sanbangsan, Yongmeori Coast, and Hyeongjeseom Island (Jeju) [OC]

Took the Sanbangsan pleasure cruise from Hwasun Port. Seeing the volcanic cliffs of Mt. Sanbang and Yongmeori Coast from the water offers an entirely different perspective than walking around them. Highly recommended if you visit southwest Jeju!
