2017 BMW i3 REX consumption stuck
Hello there, First time Posting, im looking for help regarding my bmw i3, it is a 2017 BMW i3 REX and it seems the average consumption is stuck at 4.5 kwh. i remember this metric would go up depending on acceleration, AC usage, and other factors but now even at idle with no AC on its always at 4.5, even when i go tot he eDRIVE to check average consumption the line indicating average consumption is stuck at 4.5.
For information, i recently had my AC Compressor changed since it was making a really really loud like whirly noise, loud enough for me to notice it and assume something was wrong so i took it to a BMW shop near my house and they said it was a good thing i brought it in since that could indicate a compressor about to fail. this was last Friday 05/08/2026, since then ive noticed my battery hasn't lasted nearly as long as before, i would wake up in the morning and with preconditioning would show "120-132 mi" full charge (i know that's not the true mileage but it was normal for me to see that every time i precond the car in the morning) now with precon i haven't seen a single day above 105 Miles full charge. I have some pictures that i took showing the car in my garage, full idle, AC off and it reads 4.5 mi/kwh average consumption.
I could be wrong and that reading on the instrument cluster is correct and always been there but i could have sworn it would fluctuate depending on what i did with the car.
Has anyone experienced this? or have a hint or idea as to what it could be?
P.S. many times when i turn the car on and turn the AC on the outside fan turn on and its usually FULL BLAST, that is another thing i have noticed since the compressor change, i used to love how quiet the i3 was now it sounds like my f150 with its radiator fans on full blast when ever i turn on the AC, but yet my AC functions rather well, it cools like the arctic but I'm just upset and worried that something is wrong with my car but since i don't get warning lights, beeps or boops telling me something is wrong I have decided to resort to you fellow bmw i3 owners to confirm if something is wrong or if im just a crazy guy and this is normal.
Thank you ahead of time for any and all suggestions/answers/tips.
