I usually attend Monterey Car Week. It's such a great event that spans from Aug. 12 - 15, 2026. I just read that they are calling for JDMs to be part of the "Car Week Automotive HIstory". So, here's the link and in case it doesn't work, here's the text.
"JDM Legends Car Show
The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious motorsport lifestyle gatherings; with the 2026 edition honoring icons of Japanese motorsport as the featured marque.
For the first time in its history, these race legends will be accompanied by a diverse display of restored and modified Japanese automotive builds. This JDM car show integration is equipped with interactive engagements, a Japanese stamp book style scavenger hunt, various raffles and prizes, and an after-hours DJ set by Hyper Potions.

For the car enthusiasts who want to see what others have done to their Type-R or other amazing vehicles.

Time: 7:30 a.m. Usually people start lining up as early as 6:30 a.m.

Car participants will be directed by staff to the designated show‑car area. If you're arriving as a group, let the staff know so they can park you together.
If you'd like to meet up before entering the lot, send me a DM — I’ll share the meetup spot. I’ll be in my FL5, and my husband will be in his GR86 Hakone Limited Edition.
If you're not showing your car and are just enjoying the event, let staff know. They’ll direct you to the general‑parking area near the restrooms.
This June event is usually the biggest where they have recorded ~1500 cars. Enjoy a wide variety of cars. You can find videos on YouTube or on TikTok.
