DELAYED JOINING AS A FRESHER TRAINEE ROLE. should i be worried?
i was supposed to join june 1st. i got placed on campus by this company last year in november since then i have been tied to this company as college blocked me from other companies and placed a cap on CTC.
soo basically i have been placed since last year.
i have the offer letter with date and ctc details from march but late in may i get a mail about postponement along with half of other students who were joining.
after 2 days 5 more students get onboarding letter who earlier got postponed.
right now 5-6 trainees are yet to join this company.
they have not given the tentative date yet. i am worried they might revoke my offer but again upon confirming more than 5 times HR seems sweet and declines any revokement.
i asked again 2 days later that should i be worried or look for other opportunities. she again declined and told us to have patience. they won't be revoking offers.
reason: due to company's internal restructuring and projects they are planning to tag us to different projects. but the thing is we are all trainees as in freshers. they need to give training and then determine who is suitable for which role.
upon contacting my placement head he has reassured me more than 5 times that my offer won't be retracted and that they are in no position to do this. but majority of the students have been taken and i am worried about my offer.
PS: the company is doing well and they have been coming to our college for placements forpast few years everybody has good things to sya baout the company and work env plus i spoke to 3+ alumni of my college working there and everyone has good things to say.
