My Bantam keeps wheezing, what on earth should I do??
This morning the family favourite hen started wheezing heavily. It's been going on for a few hours now and seems to be getting marginally worse if anything. I've got her isolated from the rest of the flock in a rather unideal temporary set up but now I have no idea what to do.
She was completely fine in herself yesterday, bumbling around in the garden as is her nature but now she seems sort of lethargic. There is also a slight discharge around her nose (unsure if this is just moisture from where she has been drinking or mucous)
Initially I figured it was panting due to the heat but it isn't letting up. Do I take her to a vet? Or has she gotten something lodged in her throat? Is there anything I can do?
(Any responses will be greatly appreciated because I am genuinely very worried)
