First period in 6 months is being weird

So I’ve been on Zepbound for 3 months now and lost about 25 pounds. I finally ovulated for the first time since November and after a 15 day luteal phase I started a period yesterday. But this period is behaving so oddly to me. It’s been so light and it’s more brown in color. When I first started bleeding I had some bright red but still a light flow, which is normal for me early on. But after 6 hours it was pretty much gone. By the time I went to bed it came back a little more of a pink. I woke up this morning and it looked like I had bled some throughout the night because my pad had some deep maroon spots in it but not enough to fill up a pad for sure. And it is way too light to even consider a tampon. Now it’s more than 24 hours since I started bleeding and I have some cramping but still extremely light bleeding. The bleeding is only really detectable when I wipe and even then I have to get really in there. It is more of a brown shade than red at this point. I’ve never had a period that wasn’t a full, heavy, crampy, bright red, blood clot ridden mess so I’m kind of concerned as to why it is so light like this. This is the longest I think that I’ve ever gone without a period, could that be the reason why?

12 dpo

Took a test this morning and felt like I saw a vvfl but I have line eyes so bad always. I took another one at around 4:30pm and I swear I still see it and that it’s even a little more noticeable. My husband says he sees nothing. The first 2 pics are the test I just took and the last one is from this morning fmu. Am I tripping or does anyone else see something? And yes, the tests were both viewed within 5-10 minutes

First photo is 12 February, the date of my first shot. second photo is today and I’m not 2 days after my 12th shot. Down 21 pounds! Coming up on my 3 month mark and after doing some blood work this week, just got the news that my A1C, blood sugar, and endocrine balance has improved drastically already!

I found out I had pcos in October after quitting birth control in July 2025. I have since had 2 successful ovulations, each followed by menstruation. Both occurred after weight loss resulted from incredibly restrictive dieting. Unfortunately that weight loss was unsustainable. My last period was on the 15th of November and I’ve been stuck in this ongoing cycle ever since. I began taking Zepbound on the 12th of February and have since lost 22 pounds. I was getting so incredibly frustrated that after almost 3 months on this medication, the most hormonal action I’d seen was extremely light reddish brown spotting on two occasions with one lasting 3 days and the most recent lasted a week and only ended on Friday.

I do not routinely take OPKS because they can be a bit discouraging due to the length of my cycles, but I noticed changed in my cervical mucus that I’ve only seen whenever I’ve successfully ovulated. Decided to take an ovulation test and was so thrilled to see a dye stealing positive! I was crying just last week over no progress hormonally…I’d consider this a win. Historically, positive opks have always led to confirmed ovulation for me so I’m fingers crossed that I will finally be starting a new cycle in about 2 weeks.

In case anyone is curious, I take a daily prenatal vitamin and wholesome story myo and dchiro inositol daily and have been doing so since October. No particular dieting method, just portion control and snacking decrease since starting Zepbound. I usually just walk for exercise but I do lift weights moderately 2-3 times a week.
