Goodbye tirz, Goodbye gallbladder 🥹

SHARING FOR AWARENESS. Not for any derogatory comments.

Hello there. I was on tirz for 3 months (Feb-April). I purchased it from a seller through a link that had good reviews here on Reddit. The seller also had a legitimate COA under their brand name.

For context, I’m a healthcare worker. Before starting, I did my own research, had consultations, and underwent baseline lab tests — all of which were normal. I was aware of the potential risks associated with these peptides.

Alongside tirz, I was also doing intermittent fasting (2 meals a day). Like many others, I took the risk hoping for weight loss results. I went from 86 kg in February to 79 kg by April. I started at the lowest dose and doubled it on my 6th week because I had plateaued.

Looking back, I started experiencing mild stomach pain around March, but I brushed it off because it was manageable. I assumed it was simply hunger pains. The discomfort would happen around three times a week.

Then, on April 2, I woke up with intense stomach pain. Sitting up and moving made it worse. I felt extremely cold, and the pain radiated to my chest. I got scared and initially thought it was severe acid reflux, so I immediately took omeprazole and used a hot compress. After about 30 minutes, the pain completely disappeared, and I felt fine again, so I decided not to go to the ER. During this time, I felt the need to stop with the peptide.

For additional context, my diet during this time mainly consisted of protein and apples. I was still trying to eat “healthy.” I had already cut out sugar, fatty foods, and dairy because they caused diarrhea while I was on tirz.

Days passed and I felt completely normal again. But on April 14, after signing off from work, I experienced the same intense pain, now more on the upper right quadrant of my stomach and finally decided to go to the ER.

I underwent a series of lab tests, which showed that my ALT had increased to almost 8x my baseline, while my AST increased to around 16–18x my baseline. Increased ALP. LOW indirect bilirubin levels, NORMAL direct & total bilirubin. A full abdominal ultrasound later confirmed GALLSTONES.

I’m sharing this not to scare anyone, but to remind people that even when you do your research, monitor yourself, and try to do things “correctly,” complications can still happen. Please listen to your body and don’t ignore persistent pain or unusual symptoms.
