Help my cat and dog through a hard time
Editing to add, I now see prescription food is difficult to gift on Amazon. I have added his vets information below in the comments if you’re able. If not I added some litter, which we will need as the diabetes causes excessive urination as well as a health fund and I will 100% upload receipts of anything (food/litter) purchased with those funds. I’m not asking for money. I just want to do right by my cat and if that means expensive food and a lot of litter, that’s all I’m praying for.
This is really hard for me to post because I’ve always handled things on my own, but this year has hit our family hard financially. After the heartbreaking loss of our dog Gronk to cancer in January, we brought home a new puppy, Miles, to help heal our hearts. We expected normal puppy expenses, shots, routine vet visits, and eventually a neuter. Instead, Miles has faced one medical issue after another. He battled puppy strangles for nearly 2 months, is cryptorchid and will need a more extensive neuter surgery, and was recently diagnosed with Craniomandibular Osteopathy (CMO/Lion’s Jaw), which requires ongoing treatment and monitoring.
At the same time, our senior cat Casper’s annual visit turned into a diabetes diagnosis after unexpected weight loss. He now requires insulin, prescription food, and continued care to keep him healthy and comfortable.
Our pets have always been loved and cared for. They’re vaccinated, neutered/spayed, and never neglected. We make it work no matter what. But between the unexpected vet bills, rising medical costs for our son, changes in insurance, and the slowdown in my commission-based real estate income, we’ve burned through every bit of financial cushion we had.
If anyone is able to help, even a small amount, it would mean more than I can explain. Right now I’m just trying to keep food in the fridge, food in their bowls, and continue giving them the care they deserve while we work our way through this rough patch and rework our budget going forward.
I can provide vet bills (they’re paid, just killing me slowly) i listed all of their previous appointments. Even just helping with a few bags of the cat food would make life easier and one less thing i have to worry about 🙏🏻 Check out this Gift List I just created. https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/3UFL1NUOEVS2T?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_ggr-subnav-share_8B687YMVKRSJHGCEXVSB&language=en-US
