TIL that in 1956, a man named Thomas Fitzpatrick stole a small plane from New Jersey and landed it perfectly on a narrow street in Manhattan in front of the bar where he’d been drinking, just to win a bet. Two years later, he did it again because someone at the bar didn’t believe he’d done the first

What's something you saw as a kid that you didn't understand at all, but now as an adult it hits you like a brick?

Why do I feel relieved when plans get cancelled, even if I was actually looking forward to them?
Like… I'll make plans with friends, actually be excited about it, and then when they cancel I feel this immediate wave of relief and happiness. And then I feel guilty about it because I actually like these people??
Is this an introvert thing or is something wrong with me lol. Too afraid to ask my friends obviously because that would be a weird convo

What causes that mental exhaustion after social time, even when you enjoyed it?
I genuinely like my friends. Like fr we have a good time, we're laughing, vibing, everything's chill.
But after a few hours I'm just... done. Not in a bad way, just mentally fried. Like I need to go home, sit in silence and recharge before I can people again.
Is this normal and we just don't talk about it? Or am I way more introverted than I realized lol
