Final-year student seeking for real-world project examples for HVAC Bachelor's thesis
Hi everyone,
I am a final year HVAC/MEP engineering student in Romania currently working on my Bachelor s thesis. My project involves designing the heating and cooling systems for a mixed-use facility (a large industrial warehouse connected to an administrative/office building) using heat pumps.
I already calculated the cooling and heating loads and I am currently analyzing and comparing a few different technologies for this project, specifically:
- Air-Water Heat Pumps (bivalent systems with a backup gas boiler !optional- I was thinking to use this only for the days with extreme cold);
- Ground-Water Heat Pumps (geothermal);
- VRF / VRV Systems (Heat Pump configurations);
My request: Would any of you professionals be willing to share some examples of real-world projects involving these systems? I am mostly looking for:
Hydronic schematics / P&IDs.
Piping layouts (DWG or PDF) showing how you typically route and branch out the distribution.
General equipment schedules or selection logic.
Any tips, resources, or sample plans you could share would be hugely appreciated and will definitely help me become an engineer :D.
