Torriden solid in cream got reformulated and I found out why

I have been using the Torriden solid in cream since it first launched in Korea, we are talking multiple tubs. Recently I noticed the texture and how it applies felt different and I was not imagining it, turns out the formula actually changed!!! Saw some people here on reddit saying it broke them out and they were pretty upset asking why it got reformulated in the first place. For what it is worth I did not personally get any breakouts, I just noticed the texture difference. If your skin tends to be sensitive or reactive, it might be worth checking how your skin does with panthenol before applying this on your whole face.

I reached out through the official Torriden website when I ordered and actually got their answer back, sharing it here in case anyone else who used the old formula is wondering what changed. Personally I am still getting used to the new texture but it is growing on me the more I use it.

Official response:
panthenol was increased from the previous formula to provide denser hydration and more effective skin barrier support. That said, because the concentration is higher, some users may experience temporary irritation depending on skin condition or individual sensitivity. We recommend doing a patch test behind the ear or on the inner wrist before full use. This renewal improved the texture to feel smoother, with better skin adhesion and absorption, so the cream is not supposed to sit on top of the skin anymore and instead absorbs faster and feels more plush going in.
