How do you get kids to stick to daily habits without fights?

I’m trying to build daily habits with my kids that feel normal, not emotional. Things like brushing teeth twice a day, eating at least one balanced meal and taking a daily vitamin somehow still turn into negotiations. Instead of forcing, we’re trying consistency same time every day and letting them choose between options. It helps sometimes. For parents who’ve made this work what actually helped habits stick without constant fights?

At what point does bad breath in kids signal something more?

My child brushes really well we supervise, so I know it’s not a quick 10 second brush but the bad breath keeps coming back. The dentist didn’t find anything major, which is why I’m starting to wonder if this could be gut related. I’ve read that digestion, reflux or even imbalances in gut bacteria can sometimes affect breath. Has anyone dealt with this? If it ended up being gut related, were there other signs like bloating, constipation, tummy aches or picky eating and if that was the case for you, what did you actually do to help? Did you change diet, focus on hydration add probiotics or just wait it out? I don’t want to overreact but I also don’t want to ignore something that could be connected. Would really appreciate hearing other parents experiences.

Why do kids wait until vacation week to get sick lol ?

Every time we plan a trip or spring break vacation one of my kids suddenly gets sick right before we leave. Fever, cough, something always pops up at the worst possible time. I swear the universe knows when we’ve packed our bags lol. Do other parents deal with this too or is it just our luck and how do you manage it because I'm losing it ?

Anyone else's kid struggle after a round of antibiotics?

My kiddo just finished a round of antibiotics and ever since then his stomach has been all over the place. We've already tried two different probiotics but I can't tell they've done anything. Was there a specific probiotic or ingredient in it that finally worked for your child? I'd love to hear what made the biggest difference.

What age did you start vitamins for your kids?

I’m a first time parent with a newly 3 year old and while he eats some fruits and carbs just fine, veggies are a daily battle and I’m starting to wonder if he’s actually getting everything he needs from food alone. Curious at what age you started vitamins for your kids and if there was a specific reason that made you decide it was time.
