5 months of doing nothing sa company

I’m currently working as a Marketing Associate for a startup. The pay is okay—not amazing, but decent enough to stay.

The weird part is… I basically have no workload.

There’s no clear direction in the company, my marketing manager isn’t really doing anything either, so I end up doing almost nothing most days.

At first, I thought it was a dream setup. Paid to chill, right?

But over time, it started feeling different.

Nakaka-burnout pala yung wala kang ginagawa.

No pressure, yes, but also no sense of fulfilment, no growth, no learning. Just days passing by.

And now I feel like my 2 years of previous marketing experience are slowly fading. Parang ang dami ko nang nakalimutan simply because I’m not using them anymore.

Every time I check JobStreet or Indeed, I feel like I’m getting left behind skill-wise. Like I should be leveling up… but instead I’m stuck in pause mode.

It’s weird because I’m getting paid, but I don’t feel like I’m moving forward at all.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of “quiet burnout”?
