Compensation low ball

Applied for a job with a base salary range of 90-160k. I stated my salary range is from 130-150k base. I was told that 120k is the highest they would consider? HOWW? If the job description says something else? How should I negotiate to ensure I am compensated fairly?

Adding that I am still in the interview stage and have 10 YOE.

How much mortgage can I afford in Seattle.

How much mortgage can I afford? I make about 120k - 140k a year depending on stock and have about 80k in student loans and around 20k car loan balance with 2.9% interest rate. That is the only debt I have. Was looking to put less than 20k down if possible but if not what is a reasonable amount to put down? First time buying a house. Credit score is in high 700’s.
