I've listened to Andrew talking about the book several times but I remain a little skeptical of this "one more reform" line of thinking. It's not like we didn't have rules on the book to hold Trump accountable. Jack Smith almost did it! To me it's a little like trying to solve traffic jam with gadgetbahn when we already have the perfect solution that is mass public transit. The problem is a lack of political will and not a lack of silver bullets.

Relistening to Billie's previous interview on Conan after she mentioned in the new one that the last time she went there they were deep in the album process and had just written the opening of birds of a feather. At 3:45 she said "the past month I literally felt like I'm drowning". In hindsight, this is probably where last album cover came from. It's really cool to see the germ of an artistic idea.

I just finished listening to the NYT interview of Tucker Carlson and it was so rage-inducing. Lulu had no chance under Tucker's sanctimonious moralizing and came across as an apologist for Israel. She was so slow in comebacks, kept asking gotcha questions and didn't engage with his answers at all. I feel Tim Miller might be one of the few people can keep up with Tucker's bullshit. I imagine talking to Tucker feels closer to hand-to-hand combat than doing an interview. If he ever gets the chance to do it, I wonder how Tim would try to pin down Tucker's demagogue rhetoric.
