Disassembled crates should not exist
Disassembled crates are a very odd balance feature of the game. Items that are made at the Infantry Kit Factory, put in a Crate Transfer Station, or loaded onto a Krokodil are considered Disassembled. These crates are functionally useless until loaded into a Seaport, Garage Storage Depot, or Bluefin where the submitted items can be withdrawn like normal.
But, why?
It's straightforward in what it does, disassembled crates prevent you from being able to produce IKF items directly on the frontline unless you already have a garage storage depot/seaport nearby, dramatically reduce the usefulness of the Crate Transfer Station, and the disassembled crates prevent you from unloading a Krokodil as part of your forward landing supply.
But what is the purpose of this separation? Would the game balance be that dramatically skewed if disassembled crates simply did not exist? Krokodil freighter would be able to supply shoreline bunkers, crate transfer stations would be useful as a midline mini garage storage depot for items, Infantry Kit Factories could have shorter logistics chains without the additional intermediate garage storage depot step. Disassembled crates do not weigh any different, do not hold any different amount of their contents, and do not do anything except add more awkwardness for the logiman.
What is missing here? Why is this feature in the game at all?
