Not sure if this is the correct sub reddit for this. But please do help me if you can.

I pushed against the door and banged it a few times from the outside due to a situation between me and a flatmate. After around 3-4 pushes and 1-2 bangs against the door, it ended up like this. I called a local carpenter and he said that he'll have to replace the entire door. I asked for an alternative and he mentioned that if he does a temporary fix the door will still be fragile and with normal use also could end up breaking. Buying a new door is most definitely not in my budget. Can somebody please help and suggest me on what I should do.
