Crush on a guy 1 year younger
I'm a current junior in high school (F) and have a crush on a current sophomore (M). We're on a sports team together and so we talk here and there for each meet.
Recently I've been picking up on signs but I can't tell if I'm just imagining these "signs"? Like he goes out of his way to sit next to me, rewatches my stories on insta, minor things.
I don't feel like I can approach him outside of our meets though. At school I don't want him to feel uncomfortable so I just don't approach him and he doesn't approach me.
I'm not sure if these things are just him looking up to me as an upperclassman and I'm too scared to really do anything. Especially because of the stigma surrounding the girl being older in a relationship??
I know he's not going to be on the team next year and lowkey might just confess for the sake of letting it out. I DO NOT want to make him uncomfortable though 😭 I'm a lot closer to the other younger dudes on the team and was considering asking them to be my wingman but ultimately decided he would be uncomfortable if this was all just my imagination
I guess I'm asking for advice on how to ask him to hang out without making him feel pressured or uncomfortable?? 🤧
