Thought about making different content

I have a Let's Play channel, I've dabbled in group projects and I've even done a co-op channel or two. But I've honestly come to the conclusion that I work better solo. Working solo means I have at least 95-100% control over my content.

I've grown weary about continuing my gaming content though. I've been wanting to do something that involves an actual camera but without any face revealing. So basically a top down angle, a table, hands visible and (as example) if I reviewed candies or unboxed toys or cards or whatever I can come up with.

I have two major issues though. The first is the fact that it's very hard to set up a table and everything and have it be consistent and aesthetically pleasing

Two, I'm not in a financial position to be buying things to unbox and review. I have money and I have a job but I can't afford to buy things like that. I'm a bit at a loss when it comes to that stuff.

I was thinking of shifting to mostly Shorts content

Hi my name's Enya. I've been on YouTube for years but I'm cursed with always trying to reinvent the wheel. I've currently started focusing more on Shorts instead of pouring so much energy into long form content. I wanted to know if you have any feedback, opinions, see anything that could be worked on.

To get you primed for the content, my long form is Let's plays. My shorts are either small (not sponsored) ads/reviews for free to play games I find on Steam.

I've had semi consistent views this last couple weeks with YouTube Shorts, averaging about 1.2-1.4k views, a lot of that content is Free to Play games, I sift through the garbage games and make a short ad/review of the good games I find.

I decided to upload a couple old videos that are of a different type of game. The Monster Hunter clips did fine, roughly 1.4k views but so far Deep Rock Galactic isn't doing too well. It's most likely not in many people's algorithms.
