I feel like I'm being gaslit by the community into believing that carry heroes are weak early game
I've seen this used as the most common argument against the scaling discrepancies in the late game between certain spirit heroes and gun carries, but are carries really that bad in the early game to justify the difference in both ability to farm and late game strength? Especially now that max level has been taken down from 48k souls to 40k souls.
And even if I am completely wrong, if the carry heroes just sit under their tower and farm waves playing passive until they get their ults what can you really do against that even on a stronger hero? And lets say you do manage to tower dive and kill them, how much of an impact does that have on the game really? I've seen people go 0/7 in lane but just because their character is a carry and can farm jungle and waves super fast they'll surpass you in no time not to mention the ridiculous amount of catch up mechanics in this game. Even if you kill them over and over the respawn timer being short means they just run it back and do the same thing again till they eventually surpass you because you can't farm t3 camps.
TL;DR It feels a bit irksome that there's heroes and roles in this game that are designed to be worse late game with the justification that their early game is stronger, when
a) the significance of early game is so low at deciding the outcome of the game.
and b)The discrepancy between carries and non-carries at the start of the game is so much smaller and less meaningful than a max level wraith 1v6ing your entire team.
