What changes do you want to see in the next major update?

It has been a while since the new gods update shortly after which I started playing. I’m curious what kit reworks, meta shifts, artwork changes, and additions yall are looking for.

Graves spirit sap ability

Just got an idea, in the last update Graves got her sapping ability taken from the hand. Which makes sense, because a character with that much area denial and push ability shouldn’t also be able to hold her own in a 1v1 especially considering that she doesn’t have to aim to proc ‘on hit’ effects. But I think I may have a better idea that fits her theme and also makes for a great gameplay loop.

What if, the sapping ability does belong to the hand seeing as it’s obviously a beam of necrotic energy. But initially, it only stacks spirit resistance steal. The second effect, could be that, if you kill an enemy while they had full stacks of resistance stolen, you then get a boost to your SPIRIT POWER.

The gameplay then centers around deciding when to get in range and take a fight when you think you could get full stacks and kill. You would look to pick off weaker opponents who do spirit damage (probably like a Rem). That way, taking a fight with certain characters (gun characters) might still spell doom, instead of gaining sustain on everybody while also being one of the most effective lane pushers and crowd control characters in the game.

If you play Graves or have an opinion at all, go ahead and say so using the poll.

I was thinking maybe, the spirit power part of the ability would be could be its first upgrade, and subsequent ones would changes the scaling of it all, maybe it has a timer, the buff only stays for so long, or maybe only applies to your next borrowed decree, so you know your next one would be especially important. I dunno

As for what changes the rest of her kit would need to facilitate this being a good idea. Go ahead and comment what you think upgrades would look like in a world where this was implemented.

I’d also love to hear how you would build her if this happened, and how you’d play.

Made a silly “About you” image if anyone wanna use

I also made a more sensible version in case the original isn’t your kind of humour and you don’t use skin mods (image 3)

[Six Hero Concept]The Unhallowed Six

Six Souls. Six Truths. Six Motives.

They did not come together because they were noble.

They came because each of them had been broken by a truth too heavy to ignore.

Liliane learned that desire was never gentle. In Hell, affection was a leash, beauty was a weapon, and love was only another form of hunger. She escaped the pit, but not what the pit made of her. Her truth is simple: longing can save, ruin, or enslave. Her motive is to prove she is more than the appetite she was born to serve, even as every part of her still knows how to consume.

Beory learned that civilization does not conquer nature. It only delays being swallowed by it. What began as devotion became obsession, and what began as protection became wrath. He does not see cities as progress. He sees them as rot wearing manners, stone piled over living earth. His truth is that nature always returns. His motive is to hasten that return, even if he must become less human to do it.

Yunmei learned that fate favors those already standing above others. Talent, birthright, destiny — to her, all were excuses made by the powerful to keep the desperate obedient. She reached for forbidden power not because she was tempted, but because she refused to remain small. Her truth is that heaven’s order can be rewritten. Her motive is transcendence, even if she must tear apart truth, memory, and herself to achieve it.

The Silencer learned that some lies do not deserve answers. Some sins do not deserve confession. Some people should have known better and looked anyway. Where others seek justice through noise, he makes judgment through absence. His truth is that silence can be sharper than speech. His motive is to erase the voices that twist the world, one forced quiet at a time.

Eisengeist learned that flesh fails, but resentment endures. Whatever warmth once lived there has been buried beneath iron, smoke, and a will too cold to die properly. It does not chase comfort, mercy, or belonging. It moves with the patience of machinery and the bitterness of something denied rest. Its truth is that the dead can still have purpose. Its motive is to turn pain into pressure, and pressure into ruin.

Maestro learned that genius means nothing if the world refuses to listen. He gave humanity music, and humanity gave him rejection. So he listened deeper, past melody, past harmony, past sanity, until something beneath reality listened back. His truth is that creation can become possession. His motive is no longer applause, but recognition — to make the world hear the performance it once dismissed, even if the final note breaks it.

Six souls.

One fled Hell.

One chose the wild.

One defied Heaven.

One buried lies in silence.

One rose from iron.

One conducted madness.

None of them are heroes.

But each carries their truth powerful enough to become a motive — and a motive, dangerous.

Take the hyper-carry pill and climb

After nearly 1400 games I have finally reached eternus. I don't have many friends who play the game and my family and coworkers don't much care that I'm good at an obscure game they've never heard of but I feel like I need to share this with someone and want to share some advice I've learned along the way. I come from a league background mostly playing hyper-scalers like Kayle and Aurelion Sol and have always been moderately good usually ending up around mid diamond each season I played. Once deadlock became an option though I dropped my league addiction for the cursed apple and haven't looked back.

I've climbed from ritualist and spent the significant majority of my time in phantom and ascendent climbing predominatly with hyper-scalers (Seven my love). Here is my unsolicited advice for what worked for me:

  1. Treat the game more like a moba and less like a hero shooter. Good micro is great, but good macro is way better. The question you should constantly be asking yourself is what is the most valuable thing on the map, and can I actually do it with both parts being equally important. Sometimes the most important thing in the map is the urn, but if you have two dead teammates you probably cannot complete it and you're wasting your time by picking it up. Especially if you're a hyper-carry going from a solo-wave to clear medium camps and grabbing boxes on the way to and back is the most efficient source of souls on the map. But depending on game state it might also be mid-boss, shrines, the urn, double sinners, the big camps, the boxes above mid, bridge buffs, etc. You should practically be staring at the mini map while planning out your route and next source of resources while you're doing whatever you're currently doing.

  2. Movement matters way more than you think. If you are not adept at movement you will not be able to keep up and it will cost you whatever that valuable thing you decided you wanted in step 1. Moving optimally in this game is EXTREMELY difficult and I am honestly awful at it, but just knowing some basic routes, wall-jump/corner-boost locations, and how to mantle-slide will get you 90% of the way there. Also, sliding is OP and everyone who wants more bullets should be doing it more.

  3. Always ban bebop. Even if they nerf that clanker into the dirt it will never be enough. I hate bebop.

  4. Try to coordinate your plans with your teammates more. I don't like using my microphone often (usually only to praise teammates who did something exceptionally cool) but there are many ping options which give you much better access to communication tools than say league. If the thing you want to do in number 1 requires teammates (a lot of them do) you have to tell them that you're going to do it and need their help. Additionally, telling your teammates to back-up and listening to retreat/no pings is vital. It's very easy to hyper-focus on a low HP enemy that's just around the corner without realizing you're walking into 2 more full health enemies who are going to kill you instantly. If you're attentive on the minimap you should know when people are missing, and where they last were which will save your teammates (if they listen to your pings) and yourself.

Thank you for listening to my ted talk and I'm happy to answer any other questions people may have in the comments. I truly love this game, despise the robot, and can't wait to see you all on the cursed apple.

is there any hero that is NOT hated universally?

I always hear that someone says oh i hate laning against this hero or that hero is so op and "balanced" and I hear about everyone. What do you not hate and are happy to fight with it?
