At last night’s screening of TDWP2 at Cineplex St Vital in Winnipeg the theatre manager gave a pre-show message to our packed audience. After the trailers and right before the feature, she welcomed the audience, reminded everyone not to talk throughout the movie and to keep our phones away.
It seemed to catch everyone off guard, but it worked because the crowd was great for the whole movie.
I’m wondering if this is one theatre’s direct reaction to the Michael screenings from last weekend or something bigger coming down from corporate. We go to Cineplex at least once a week and have never seen anything like it before.
