Dell latittude e7270 wont post
well hello reddit so basically i have this dell that wont even post. when its plugged power led turns on, fan blares like a plane taking off, then for a split second the drive led turns on and it instantly shuts down cold.
some quick history on this thing. bought it for cheap, i7 8 gb ram, works great then suddenly like a month ago got an update for firmware from windows update or somewhere idk what then happened fully during the incident then suddenly it wont boot. brought it to a tech shop and its fixed with a new cmos. 1 month later it died suddenly. brought it to the same shop and they suggest a main board issue. looking inside the cmos was just a cr2032 with electrical tape and shitty wiring contacting positive and negative causing it to short or leak. and here we are. brought a new cmos and same thing it wont boot.
any ideas mates? god i hope it aint a mobo issue?
