I never had to use search, now when I do - why does it suck so much? Am I using it wrong? Are there good search plugins?

Cheap online shopping?

Hi, I am currently in Spain and having an online shopping problem. All my adult life I shopped online because I hate going to the stores and online was usually cheaper. I used to get clothes at asos, vitamins and protein at iherb and small household stuff at aliexpress.

However in Spain it seems like physical stores are cheaper and I don't get the feeling of "im so good at saving money by buying online" 😁 I even tried Temu for the first time and while it's cheaper than AE it is still not a clear choice as any online Chinese site would have been in the past.

For example some things I needed recently which I would have bought online in the past 15 years:

  • Cotton pads - mercadona was cheaper than aliexpress

  • Flip flops - primark was cheaper than asos

  • Ball pump - some Chinese bazar was cheaper than aliexpress

  • Whey protein - mercadona cheaper than iherb

  • Stainless steel bottle - carrefour was cheaper than

  • Protein powder - amazon cheaper than iherb

Still looking for a baseball cap and swimming trunks if someone can recommend a place :)

I guess I shouldn't complain that getting something locally in a few hours is cheaper than shipping something for weeks from China, I'm just missing that feeling of being a cheap ass and not having to buy clothes in a physical store.

Monitor suggestions under 300€?

I'm moving to Spain and will need to get a screen (and eventually hopefully a PC later) for work ASAP.

My employer offered to purchase it for me but I expect the budget would be around 150€ and I'll try to push for something better that I can enjoy using outside of work hours as well. My requirements are:

  • 27 inches
  • 1440p
  • At least 120hz
  • Not OLED
  • Gsync? Apparently it's not so necessary nowadays because of adaptive sync?
  • Accurate colors

Use cases would be everything - gaming, office work, watching movies, gaming (online multiplayer occasionally too, but don't care if I don't have a 500hz 0.001 ms screen), Lightroom photo editing.

So after some quick research (shame about rtings.com) I have wishlisted 3 models:

  • XIAOMI G Pro 27Qi 2026 - 350 eur Amazon (290 pccomponentes.com if it's the same model)
  • Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor - AW2725DM - 216 eur
  • AOC Gaming Q27G3XMN 27" - 270 eur

Any suggestions please?

This site's captcha used to be sliding a puzzle piece to complete the picture. They changed it and for months I've thought the picture hadn't been loading for me and used slow audio captcha instead (I don't know Spanish)
