Guess I’m considered a high flight employee?

Out of the eight people at my level, three of us, including myself, are considered top performers. However, we are also viewed as “high flight risks” because all three of us are disappointed with comp and promotion opportunities. I came across a pdf that I likely wasn’t meant to see and asked a close colleague above me what it meant. They told me I’m considered a high flight risk employee along with the other two top performers. Even though I’ve expressed my interest in staying long-term, I guess my frustration with comp and promotion has been apparent.

The team seems to have a strong conviction that out of the three employees whoever doesn’t receive better comp or promotion outcomes by the end of the year will likely leave. Leadership is working on increasing our comp.

Is it a bad thing to be labeled this way?

Difficulty scheduling interview with senior

I’ve made it through three rounds of interviews for this job opportunity, and up until now, things have felt really promising. After my most recent round, a team member reached out to let me know that the team was genuinely impressed with my interview performance.

The only remaining conversation is with the head of the team. We originally had an interview scheduled for last week, but it had to be postponed due to a calendar conflict on his end. The team member I’ve been in contact with mentioned that getting time on his calendar may be challenging because he’s extremely busy so I tried not to read too much into the delay.

However, this week, the interview had to be moved again. This is something that I wanted to avoid at all costs as I am traveling next week abroad and the interview is in-person, meaning the earliest we’ll likely be able to meet is the following week. I’ve been very generous with the days and times that I am offering to HR to help get this interview completed.

While I understand that scheduling conflicts happen, especially with senior leadership, it’s hard not to feel a bit anxious about the extended timeline, particularly after making it this far in the process and receiving such encouraging feedback. What should I do? Does this hurt me?

Final round scheduling is getting complicated

I’ve made it through three rounds of interviews for this job opportunity, and up until now, things have felt really promising. After my most recent round, a team member reached out to let me know that the team was genuinely impressed with my interview performance.

The only remaining conversation is with the head of the team. We originally had an interview scheduled for last week, but it had to be postponed due to a calendar conflict on his end. However, this week, the interview had to be moved again. This is something that I wanted to avoid at all costs. At this point, the timing is becoming more complicated because I’ll be traveling out of the country next week and unavailable, meaning the earliest we’ll likely be able to meet is the following week. While I understand that scheduling conflicts happen, especially with senior leadership, it’s hard not to feel a bit anxious about the extended timeline, particularly after making it this far in the process and receiving such encouraging feedback.
