Would my OT 106 Handle these waters fine?

About 500-700M wide.

I would have to paddle through this bigger slow moving section of river to reach a smaller section of the river which I would then fish. I would paddle near the edges

Do you do anything to prevent your kayak from being stolen?

Im a pretty paranoid person and have been robbed multiple times. do you guys do anything to prevent your canoes from being stolen while sleeping? if so what do you do?
