Getting Citizenship Through deceased Father

Ok Long story short, My dad passed away a few months ago, He was an American born and raised, My mom is Mexican, He is legally my father here in Mexico as he appears on my Birth Certificate, but he never lived with me he lived in the USA and I stayed in Mexico with my mom.

According to the USCIS Website I could already be a US Citizen at birth IF I can proof HIS Citizenship, His relation to me (me being legitimized as his son) which here in Mexico you do it by signing a child's birth certificate as his father, and proof of his presence in the USA 5 years prior to my birth.

Im in the process of getting the following :

-His Birth Certificate
-His death certificate
-His Social Security records

And I already have my birth certificate.

Would this be enough to apply for a US Passport at the US Embassy in Mexico? Does anybody know how long the process takes? Thanks for any input.
