The problem with RHoL
Before I get into it, thanks for all the replies on my previous post about Kimi’s style! I have quite a few ideas, and have a few Pink City Print dresses saved to purchase before my next cruise in December! AND, thanks for the poster on the three part series about Kimi’s history. She’s my fav as well as Martha!
I finished LoL today for the umpteenth time and it rolled over to RHoL. I was cleaning my house and figured oh why not.
Holy hell, how obnoxious is RHoL?!! I’m not even half way thru the introductions, and I rolled my eyes. All the women want to talk about how rich and fabulous they are. They clearly feel the need to prove something. In contrast, I remember LoL, Marc and Kimi lead with how fabulous London is, and why they call summer the season. I love how Misse and Martha talk about how hard it is to live in London on limited finances. Obviously Emma doesn’t have to expound on her situation, given her station, and Myka talks about how she’s settled, but it’s a sacrifice with Marco being away so much. Marc and Kimi just simply mention where they live, and anyone can extrapolate that they’re both financially well off. Margo is the only one who feels the need to talk about her budget, clothes, etc, so I totally buy that she became a different person after she married into money. Lotte was very upfront about her family, and my guess is that Joshua comes from some sort of wealth (the family home where they did the gender reveal), but he clearly works hard at his craft.
But they’re all very real about their standings. I don’t think I’m going to be able to tolerate RHoL. At. All. It’s so ridiculous. It’s a bunch of women who clearly married for money with blokes 20+ years older than them. It’s gross.
At least there isn’t one dull episode on LoL, save for some of the Margo bits because she grates on my nerves.
