BC Canada - Ground penetrating radar
Hi guys, hope this post is ok.
I recently took over as site manager at an organization with quite a large property (12 acres) with services that span the whole area.
Unfortunately whoever was managing the site before me, did a horrible job and his services map is like something done by a 5 year old and not at all accurate (ask me how I know…).
Anyways, I don’t want to dig or do anything now until things are properly mapped. I was looking into ground penetrating radar for mapping it and wondering a couple things. First off, best route? It is the least invasive as I understand, but is it way more expensive? (We are a non-profit charity). Second, I see a lot of “vehicle mounted units” and some areas are pretty tight, are little units more common or big ones? (With our location I don’t think we will have a lot of choice when it comes to picking a company to do it). And last, how much and how long would you think it would set us back to do the 12 acres of sprawling conduits? (Not super descriptive I know, sorry)
