My friend (Indian citizen) is in the UK. He completed his master’s and is currently on a work visa that expires in about 5 months. He doesn’t see a realistic way to extend it.

He recently got married, and his wife has already overstayed her visa by about a month.

An immigration lawyer suggested they consider moving to New Zealand, but they are also thinking about Canada.

1. What realistic options does he still have to stay in the UK?

2. Between Canada and New Zealand, which is the better option for long-term settlement/PR in their situation?
