The BB54: worth the hesitation
I have had the Tudor BB54 for a few weeks now. Bought it for a pretty fair price from a highly regarded watch dealer. Box and papers, mint condition; the watch is from October 2025.
I have owned some vintage Omegas before, but ultimately I didn't wear them enough. Too classic, fragile, and inaccurate. This BB54 is my first luxury watch. Or rather, a modern luxury watch bought at a current price.
I really like this watch. I hesitated for a very long time and tried on a few Tudors. Also the BB58 and P39. I hesitated for a long time about the latter, but the BB54 is much more versatile for my style and preference.
I have a 7-inch wrist, and I, too, have fixated far too often on everyone's opinion regarding the sizing of the BB54. Completely unnecessary, as it turns out (in my case). I find the proportions and the somewhat square shape of the entire case just right. Thanks to that somewhat more compact and dense shape, the bracelet really comes into its own. The whole thing is very refined. Much less top-heavy, in comparison to other divers. This is also due to the limited thickness, by the way.
And perhaps no surprise: super accurate. I can barely detect any plus or minus deviation.
