Before 2012 I watched my first anime which i believe was an OVA or movie. It centered around a roaming samurai who used a sheathed blade to fight, and a girl. There was a final fight scene with cherry blossoms and a blade catch between two palms. There was also a scene where the MC kicks or hits an enemy's armour and walks away, only for the armour to break after. The enemy's friend says something like "If that had hit you, you would've died" or something. Please help i've been searching for weeks

Watched as a kid off a dvd. Roaming samurai uses sheathed blade instead of hurting others. Final fight scene involves cherry blossoms and a blade catch between palms. I think there was a scene where the MC kicks a guy or something and walks off and the guy's armor shatters or cracks really bad.
