Rewatching voyager after many years. Watching Latent Image now.
The doctor places Harry Kim’s neurosurgery as taking place 1.5yrs ago (before Seven joins the crew). Which got me thinking, given the time from Scorpion to Year Of Hell, this point in season five likely lines up somewhere towards the end of YOH. I’ve never really considered where Voyager would have been comparing back to that episode.
I also noticed a big Janeway hair continuity gap… unless the flashback scenes in Latent Image happened on the same day as that S2 (or 3) episode where Neelix and Tom get stuck on a planet with a reptile baby, Janeway should have had the ponytail do in the flashbacks, as this is what she was wearing in the S4 episodes before Seven came on board (we see the bob for the first time in YOH).
Just some thoughts. Great episode, representing significant growth for the doctor and Janeway. Their first step towards the mutual respect they have towards each other by the end of the series.
