I cannot understand the logic of creating a character who is obviously smart yet get continuously gets outsmarted wth? (e.g. Death Note)

I don't particularly like the overly high pitched female voices that sound very off putting and annoying.

I have yet to see an anime fight scene that has minimal to no dialogue/monologue. It may be just me but that is so annoying, like pls just fight I don't care about what you have to say about you or your opponent
