▲ 2 r/Smoothies
Hey everyone,
I just bought a Ninja Foodi Nutri Duo and tried making my first smoothie today (strawberries, ice, and milk). I hit the "smoothie" button, but the blade got stuck and wouldn't spin. A few seconds later, smoke started coming out of the back vent along with a strong burning plastic smell.
I panicked, shut it off, and unplugged it immediately. Luckily, there was no fire. Afterward, I took out some of the ice and just used the regular "start" button instead of the “smoothie” preset, and it blended fine.
Since this is my first time owning a Ninja blender, I'm a bit worried. Is it normal for the motor to smoke like that when the blade gets jammed, or should I be concerned about long-term damage?
Thanks for any help
